Dr. Dadakpoye Johnson is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, nurse educator, researcher, mentor, and psychiatric practice owner with more than 25 years of nursing experience.
Her career has given her a unique perspective on one of the biggest challenges facing PMHNPs: there can be a significant gap between earning the degree and feeling prepared for real-world psychiatric practice. As the owner of Casting Crown Psychiatry Services, PLLC, Dr. Johnson brings firsthand practice ownership experience into her mentorship. She understands the clinical and operational realities of psychiatric practice and uses those experiences to help the next generation of PMHNPs build with greater confidence and clarity. Her clinical profile also documents her work across psychiatric evaluation, medication management, psychotherapy, ADHD care, and substance-use treatment.
Her doctoral research further strengthened her leadership philosophy by emphasizing person-centered care, trust through communication, empathy and emotional presence, advocacy, and the importance of the healthcare environment.
